Key Benefits
-
AIE is
essential reading for academics, researchers and practitioners who are
involved in applied economic, business or social science research, and
eager to keep up with the latest methodological tools.
-
AIE disseminates
new ideas in a style that is more extensive and self-contained than
journal articles, with many papers including supplementary computer
code and/or data driven examples illustrating the techniques.
-
AIE
provides a collection of papers in each volume related to a central
theme or idea, encompassing alternative approaches to implementation of
the methodology.
-
AIE provides
empirical applications that may be related to microeconomics,
macroeconomics or finance, using cross-section data, time series data
or panel data.
Key Audiences
-
AIE encourages
academics, researchers and Ph.D. students to share their experience,
knowledge, and original research with an international audience.
Contributors come from across the globe and researchers from all
areas are welcome to submit work for consideration in the series,
following an Editorial Board approved call for papers.
Key Policies
-
AIE
is not a journal and does not consider papers
submitted to it directly.
-
AIE volumes are organized
by Volume editors who are selected by the AIE Editors,
listed below, on the basis of a proposal.
- A well publicized "Call for Papers" is distributed.
- The Volume editors select papers for consideration. The papers under consideration are subjected to critical review, revised and resubmitted.
- Those revised papers which pass the resubmission are accepted for publication in the volume.
- Volume editors may hold a conference as part of the review process.
- The conference is by invitation only.
- These conferences are an opportunity for authors with similar interests to discuss proposed volume papers.
- Participation in a conference is neither necessary nor sufficient for a paper to ultimately be published in a volume.
